The stunning setting of Stowe House, along with the tranquil location and the friendly atmosphere make it the perfect location for your special wedding day. Stowe has three beautiful rooms licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies: The Music Room, exquisitely decorated by Valdre, will seat up to 100 guests for a civil wedding ceremony. The Marble Saloon is a spectacular elliptical hall, inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. The Saloon doors can remain open throughout the wedding ceremony, offering the view of the stunning Octagon Lake and Corinthian Arch as the backdrop to your ceremony. The Marble Saloon will seat up to 200 guests for a civil wedding ceremony. The Blue Room is the obvious choice for a smaller, intimate ceremony, seating up to 40 guests. All of the rooms benefit from spectacular views across rolling Buckinghamshire parkland and the Octagon Lake.

Notley Abbey is a unique combination of the new and old. A medieval wall to the private garden provides the site for external Civil Wedding Ceremonies while the Abbott's Hall (Drawing Room to Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh when Notley Abbey was their home) is the inside site for your Civil Wedding. With the river Thame running through the grounds there is a wonderful choice of wedding reception locations and photo spots and the three spacious oak beamed reception rooms provide a superb alternative in the event of bad weather. The 13th century stone barn is a glorious Banqueting Hall capable of seating 192. For the evening party you choose between a relaxed and informal House Party or a Dinner Dance in the Barn.
