Notley Abbey is perhaps most famous as the marital home of Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, when Notley Abbey hosted many famous parties & celebrities. Before that it was the site of a sizable Abbey built circa 12th Century. The extensive grounds,gardens and riverside setting at Notley Abbey all work as excellent wedding photography backgrounds and the Old Abbey architecture & textures contrast brilliantly with the new contemporary lines allowing for stylish interior wedding photography. The house itself was the Abbott's Residence with its Abbot's Chamber, used for ceremonies. The Banqueting Hall was the Notley Monks' Refectory and is capable of seating 160 wedding guests.
